Hon Alice Kaboyo Commissions Modern Classroom Block.
Hon. Alice Kaboyo, State Minister for Luwero Triangle and Rwenzori Affairs, on, 15th October 2025, commissioned a modern three-classroom block at Ngoma Church of Uganda Primary School in Nakaseke District, marking a significant milestone in the region’s educational infrastructure development.
The new classroom block, built by NEC Construction Works and Engineering Ltd (NEC Works), a subsidiary of National Enterprise Corporation (NEC), will provide a conducive learning environment for students. Hon. Kaboyo expressed her gratitude to President Museveni for allocating resources to infrastructure projects across Uganda, including Nakaseke District.
During the ceremony, Hon. Kaboyo lauded the people of Nakaseke for their pivotal role in supporting the National Resistance Army (NRA) struggle, which brought an end to dictatorial regimes and ushered in peace, democracy, and socio-economic transformation. She urged the community to support government initiatives to combat poverty and improve household incomes, emphasizing education as a vital investment for the future.
In a special acknowledgment, Hon. Kaboyo commended NEC for their patriotism, efficiency, and commitment to quality in executing projects. She noted that NEC’s ability to deliver projects promptly and at a lower cost without compromising quality is a testament to their dedication to rebuilding Uganda.
Eng. Brian Buhanda, representing Lt Gen James Mugira, Managing Director of NEC, thanked the minister for her presence and praised the government’s support for NEC’s endeavors. He reaffirmed NEC’s commitment to delivering high-quality work on time and within budget, while also emphasizing the importance of stakeholders’ role in maintaining the new infrastructure.
The commissioning ceremony was attended by prominent figures, including the Area Member of Parliament for Nakaseke North, Nakaseke District local and technical leaders, and other dignitaries.
