NEC DONATES MATTRESSES, SCHOLASTIC MATERIALS & SANITARY PADS TO UPDF.

National Enterprise Corporation (NEC), yesterday 4th February 2024, donated PVC Medical Mattresses, Scholastic Materials and Sanitary Pads to Uganda People’s Defence Forces (UPDF) in Jinja.

The donation was handed over by Col Godfrey Emuron, the Deputy General Manager, Kyoga Dynamics which is a Joint Venture with Luwero Industries.

Col Emuron was representing Lt Gen James Mugira, the Managing Director -NEC.

The donation was received by Lt Col Victor Kabigumira, Political Commissar of Jinja Cantonment, on behalf of the Chief Political Commissar of UPDF, Hon Maj Gen Henry Masiko.

While handing over the donation, Col Emuron informed the donation committee that NEC was happy to associate itself with the people who contributed to the struggle.

He said that it was that big gun of the civil population which made UPDF the powerful institution that it is today.

Col Emuron further observed that the Busoga region has long stood with UPDF and that it was time to give back.

Col Kabigumira on his part thanked NEC for the donation that would go a long way to make a difference in the lives of the people in the Busoga region.
