Kiira Motors Corporation hands over phase 2 Start Up Facilities for Kiira Electrical Vehicle Plant in Jinja Industrial and Business Park to NEC Works.

Yesterday 1st March 2022, Kiira Motors Corporation handed over phase 2 Start Up Facilities for Kiira Electrical Vehicle Plant in Jinja Industrial and Business Park.
The scope of work includes test facility that will accommodate 50buses at ago, extension of the warehouse and test track road.
The construction of the 1st phase of start up facilities stands at 98%. These include: assembling plant, warehouse, circulation roads, water supply, electricity, land scaping, waste water treatment plant, alignment of kainogoga channel and 100 acres perimeter fence.
While handing over the site, Eng Paul Musasizi, the CEO; Kiira Motors Corporation appreciated NEC for the commitment exhibited in the construction of the plant. He said that was the reason for entrusting it with the 2nd phase of the project.
He pledged to look for resources to execute the works in time.
He also appreciated Technology Consults Ltd for superving the works.
He informed members that the production team is expected to begin work in 6 months time.
Eng Brian Buhanda, who represented the Managing Director-NEC; Lt Gen James Mugira, appreciated Kiira Motors Corporation Management for entrusting NEC with another site and pledged commitment on behalf NEC to execute the task to the satisfaction of the client.
Eng Buhanda appreciated TECO for the cooperation and pledged to continue working with them.
He also observed that NEC will use experience it has got to minimise the challenges they could have encountered in the 1st Phase.
He promised to hand over the finished project in the stipulated time.
Meanwhile, the committee of parliament on Presidential and Parliamentary Affairs led by Hon Jesica Ababiku visited Kiira Motors Corporation construction site and appreciated the work so far done.
Prof Tockodri Togboa, the KMC Board ChairĀ  and Eng Peter Mugumya-CEO ; Technology Consults were also present among others.
