NEC Board Members visit NEC Farm-Katonga in Kisozi, Gomba District.

Yesterday, 22nd March 2023, the NEC Board Members visited NEC Farm-Katonga in Kisozi, Gomba District.

The Board was received and welcomed  by the Managing Director -National Enterprise Corporation (NEC), Lt Gen James Mugira.

The Board which was represented by its Vice Chair, Prof Charles Kwesiga was on a tour to acquaint themselves with the operations and activities of the farm.

Gen James Mugira gave  the Board an overview of the operations of the farm.

Col (Rtd) John Kagwisa, General Manager, NEC Farm-Katonga/Kyankwanzi briefed members on the current status of NEC Farms and their Projects.

NEC Farm Katonga/Kyankwanzi are currently implementing Meat Export Support services Project under the Ministry of Agriculture, Animal Industry and Fisheries and Egypt -Uganda Joint Model Farm Project for bull fattening.

The Board was taken on a guided tour of the  NEC Farm Katonga mother herd, NEC Meat and Beans Processing Plant, and Bull fattening project.

The Board members were happy with the initiatives and projects being undertaken by NEC.

Other members of the Board that visited the farm were: Brig Gen Chandia, Eng Paul Musasizi, and the Board Secretary, Mr. Mukombozi Daniel
