NEC Construction Works & Engineering Limited, Kyambogo University Conduct Joint Supervision of Road Project.
KAMPALA, July 21, 2026 — The General Manager of NEC Construction Works & Engineering Limited, Eng. Brian Buhanda, on Tuesday led a joint supervision visit to assess progress on an ongoing road construction project at Kyambogo University, accompanied by the university’s top management led by the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Eli Katunguka. The visit focused on evaluating the status of works on 1.38 kilometer’s of internal road infrastructure being developed within the university campus.
The project follows a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed between NEC and Kyambogo University on April 4, 2026, under which NEC Construction Works & Engineering Limited was contracted to undertake the rehabilitation and upgrading of the road to bituminous standard.
Speaking during the site inspection, the Vice Chancellor commended the pace and quality of works undertaken so far, expressing confidence that the project timeline would be fully met. NEC continues to deliver engineering and infrastructure projects for public institutions across Uganda, reinforcing NEC’s commercial mandate in support of national development.
