On October 9, 2025, Hon. Alice Kaboyo, Minister of State for Luwero Triangle, officially commissioned a newly constructed three-classroom block at Buhuhira Primary School in Busongora North Constituency.
The event was attended by Hon. Godfrey Kabbyanga, Minister of State for ICT and National Guidance, who accompanied Minister Kaboyo to the occasion.
The three-classroom block, constructed by NEC Construction Works and Engineering Ltd (NEC Works), a subsidiary of the National Enterprise Corporation (NEC), was fully furnished with essential facilities, including chairs, desks, and a water tank.
Minister Kaboyo highlighted the importance of this infrastructure, noting that conducive learning environments are crucial for the education and development of children.
In her address, Hon. Kaboyo expressed gratitude to the residents for embracing government programs such as the Parish Development Model (PDM) and Emyoga. She urged the community to continue supporting the government’s initiatives, enabling it to deliver on its mandate effectively.
Minister Kaboyo also commended NEC for consistently delivering high-quality work, noting that the corporation’s understanding of the country’s history and needs enables it to excel in its projects.
The ceremony was attended by the Area Member of Parliament, Kasese District local and technical leadership, and representatives from NEC, including Mr. James Katongana, Public Relations Officer, and Capt. Elias.
