MD-NEC, Gen Mugira Tours NEC Joint Ventures, Lauds Progress.
Lt Gen James Mugira, Managing Director of National Enterprise Corporation (NEC), yesterday, 28th November, 2025 visited NEC Joint Ventures in Nakasongola District. This is part of his ongoing tour of NEC Subsidiaries and Joint Ventures.
At Kyoga Dynamics Ltd, Gen Mugira was briefed on the production of emulsion explosives and Ammonium Nitrate Fuel Oils (ANFO) used in mining and infrastructure developments such as dams, railways, roads etc. He was impressed by the team’s dedication and the facility’s capabilities.
Next, he visited NEC-STREIT (U) Ltd, which produces armoured vehicles and boats for both military and civilian use. The General Manager showcased the company’s products, and Gen Mugira commended the team’s innovation and quality.
At PRO Heli International Services Ltd, Gen Mugira was impressed by the team’s expertise in helicopter maintenance, repair, overhaul, and upgrade services.
He also visited the NEC T6 Industrial and Business Park in Katuugo, where a PCR and Antibody Kit Factory is being constructed by NEC Construction Works and Engineering.
Gen Mugira was pleased with the progress, commending the team’s efforts in driving NEC’s growth and Uganda’s socio-economic development.
